When did Phantom Blade Zero pre-orders open?
Phantom Blade Zero pre-orders opened on August 11, 2026, ahead of the game’s scheduled October launch. S-GAME announced the campaign alongside an extended trailer and details of a dedicated gameplay State of Play.
The announcement also clarified the pre-order rewards. Players receive early access to the Treasure Basin accessory and Legacy outfit, but neither reward is locked permanently behind a purchase deadline. S-GAME says both items can also be obtained through normal in-game progression.
Players can find the official PlayStation, Steam, and Epic Games Store destinations from the platform buttons on the Phantom Blade Zero homepage.
What do the pre-order bonuses include?
The two announced bonuses are:
- Treasure Basin accessory: unlocked early for pre-order customers.
- Legacy outfit: unlocked early for pre-order customers.
The important distinction is that these are early unlocks, not exclusive gameplay content. Players who wait for reviews or buy after release should still be able to earn both rewards inside the game.
S-GAME did not use the announcement to describe every edition or regional price. Buyers should therefore check their selected storefront for current pricing, availability, and any edition-specific contents before ordering.
How is Donnie Yen involved in the game?
The trailer revealed Donnie Yen’s connection to Phantom Blade Zero. He has served as a creative consultant since 2023, advising the team with experience drawn from martial arts and action filmmaking.
Yen is also the facial and motion-capture performer for Mó Yuan, Soul’s father. That makes his contribution both creative and on-screen: his likeness and physical performance inform a character who is directly connected to the protagonist’s story.
The subsequent State of Play gameplay report provided more detail about Mó Yuan, the Wulin, the weapon roster, and the game’s difficulty modes.
What did the extended trailer show?
S-GAME described the pre-order trailer as only the opening portion of Soul’s journey. The footage included combat on top of a speeding wagon and a confrontation with a former comrade known as The Hunt.
The developer reserved its deeper explanations for the standalone State of Play on August 17. That presentation eventually ran for almost 20 minutes and covered exploration, character progression, build variety, side quests, and higher difficulty settings. Our complete State of Play recap breaks down those reveals in order.
When does Phantom Blade Zero launch?
Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026. PlayStation notes that the date is October 28 in the United States and select regions because of regional release timing.
This is later than the previously announced September 9 date. S-GAME said the extra 50 days would be used for work on character models, environments, visual quality, and the launch experience. Read the full explanation in our Phantom Blade Zero release-delay report.
